Debaprasad Dash

Debaprasad Dash is a contemporary Odia Short Story writer with 8 story books, 3 essays, two translations and an edited book on fiction to his credit. His writings reflect a rare sensitiveness towards the isolation of man in the changing social, economic and political order. He has a distinct outlook towards issues which rarely attract the attention of writers. His stories depict themes concerning industrialisation, displacement, violence, corruption, human sufferings, existential problems, women and other distinct characters struggling with life.

He has won Odisha Sahitya Akademy, Katha (New Delhi), Bhubaneswar Book Fair and other awards for his writings. He lives in Bhubaneswar.
